Description

Historical knowledge and critical appreciation of different trends and movements related to aesthetics, in general, and to musical aesthetics, in particular, from antiquity to the Renaissance, and the study of major philosophical systems which dealt with music throughout history.

Assesment

Continuos assesment with exam during the examination period. The grade will be calculated according to the next percentages:

     60% daily work and attendance

     40% exams and presentations

Spanish Grading Scale. The students' performance is assessed using a 10-point grading scale

• FX- Unsatisfactory 0-4,9: Suspenso (SS).
• E- Suficienty 5,0-5,9: Aprobado (AP).
• D- Satisfactory 6,0-6,9: Aprobado (AP)
• C- Good 7,0-8,9: Notable (NT). 
• B-Very good 9,0-9,9: Sobresaliente (SB)
• A- Excellent 10: Sobresaliente (SB).

Descripción
Conocimiento histórico y valoración crítica de las diferentes tendencias y corrientes relativas a la estética, en general, y a la estética musical, en particular, desde la Antigüedad hasta nuestros días, así como el estudio de los grandes sistemas filosóficos que se han ocupado de la música a lo largo de la Historia.   
Evaluación
Evaluación continua con exámenes durante los periodos de evaluación. La calificación se calcula de acuerdo a los siguientes porcentajes:
     60% trabajo diario
     40% presentaciones y exámenes
 
Sistema de calificación
El estudiante será valorado según el sistema español de calificaciones usando una escala numérica del 0 al 10.
